Yes, it’s the moment you have all been waiting for: “The Great MPI MN Race #2”. This year we are setting you off on an adventure throughout the historical and inspirational city we all love, St. Paul. For those of you that did not participate last year, the event is modeled after the TV show “The Amazing Race” and has replaced the golf tournament. The Great MPI MN race will feature checkpoints and challenges that relate to the meeting and event industry. Teams of 8-10 people will receive clues and embark on an exciting adventure throughout the city of St. Paul. When the race teams have completed their clues and a few extra credit points, they will met at the beautiful 317 on Rice Park for a reception with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and prizes.
Get your game face on and come out for some friendly competition. Just see what racers had to say about last year’s event…
“The Great MPI MN Race was one of the most fun events I have attended as an MPI member. The event was planned and executed very well. Plus, as a resident of Minneapolis, I learned about places that I didn’t know existed! Our team already decided we wanted to do it again next year and be on the same team! Keep up the great work—I am looking forward to next year’s race!”
– Lynnette Offen, HelmsBriscoe
“For some reason we had the hardest time figuring out the one clue that ended up being Meet Minneapolis. We called the Hyatt, the Hotel Minneapolis and finally after thinking about it more closely went to the office of Meet Minneapolis. We also thought we’d try to extra credit points on creativity and went to the Mary Tyler Moore statue for a picture, but also to the house they filmed in the show, up around Mount Curve area. Luckily our driver knew where it was…”
“This was a great event, we can’t wait to invite even more people to come and participate next year.”
