The Strategic Alliances Committee seeks to forge partnerships between the MPI Minnesota Chapter and its partners to financially support and enhance the programs offered by the chapter. The committee is responsible for designing partnership policies and guidelines, soliciting partnerships with our planners and suppliers and following up to ensure that the defined benefits of partnering with the chapter are met. The committee is responsible for overseeing special events and fundraising for our chapter.

Sponsorships and Advertising

This group develops and maintains the relationship with MPI Minnesota Chapter sponsors. They negotiate with vendors for monthly meeting venues, sell advertising space within chapter publications and solicit, track and fulfill the chapter sponsorship program.

Holiday Party / Silent Auction

This team of volunteers is responsible for all aspects of the Holiday Party/Silent Auction. This includes everything from partnering with vendors for things such as décor, AV and F&B to securing donations for and executing the silent auction. This event requires some time investment from September up to the day of the event in December and is one of the largest financial contributions to our chapter.

Spring Social

This team of volunteers is responsible for all aspects of the Spring Social (formerly known as the June Event). This includes sourcing the venue, identifying a theme and partnering with vendors for things such as décor, AV and F&B. Your involvement can be as little or as big as you want as long as you are committed and up for a creative challenge. This event, like the Holiday Party/Silent Auction, is one of the largest revenue contributors to the chapter.

Scholarships

This committee is responsible for managing the MPI Minnesota Chapter scholarship program. Team members oversee submission criteria and process guidelines. Committee members also work with the chapter’s association management company and the May event committee to provide award certificates and scripting to be used during the awards presentation at the May event.

Community Outreach

Volunteers on this committee spearhead donation options to raise money for the chapter’s specified charitable organization. In addition to the piggy banks, volunteers work to identify additional donation opportunities throughout the year. Donations are collected during the Monthly Meetings and presented to the chapter’s selected charity at the May event.
